This full-time role features a continental rotation schedule ensuring student and staff safety at Algonquin College. You’ll monitor activities, respond to emergencies, and assist in investigations while actively engaging with the campus community. An ideal candidate holds a Police Foundations Diploma and has at least one year in security or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle, or vehicle
• Enforce college policies and regulations for safety
• Respond to incidents including breaches and emergencies
• Gather information and complete detailed incident reports
• Provide customer service and support to the campus community
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of security experience
• Preferred Police Foundations Diploma
• Strong customer service skills
• Valid Security License and First Aid/CPR C Certification
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies
