Job Overview

Security Guard – Alberta | Full‑Time Traffic Control Person / Flagger – Mid to Senior Level Position (Temp – Full time). Project dependent.

Location:

Eden Valley, Alberta, Canada.

Schedule:

6 days on / 1 day off rotation. Compensation:
Competitive, based on experience.

About the Role

We are looking for reliable, dependable and professional Security Guards to support operations in the Eden Valley area of Alberta. The role requires daily travel of approximately one hour each way to and from the work site.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and secure assigned work sites and facilities.
  • Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols.
  • Control site access and verify authorized personnel.
  • Observe and report safety concerns, hazards, and suspicious activity.
  • Complete daily reports and incident documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with workers, visitors, and site management.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and security‑related incidents.
  • Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagger Certification (Mandatory).
  • Valid Class5 Driver’s Licence (Mandatory).
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel approximately one hour each way.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and observation skills.
  • Ability to work day or night shifts as required.
  • Ability to remain alert and qualified throughout the shift.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Alberta Security Services Worker Licence (asset).
  • Previous security, industrial, camp, construction, or safety‑related experience.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (asset).
  • Valid Class5 Driver’s Licence (asset).

Work Environment

Successful candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons, capable of following strict safety procedures, and able to remain alert and professional while managing traffic in active work zones.
