Objectives Of Position
To protect the company and its assets from physical threat and the unauthorized removal of company property.
Responsibilities
- Prevent unauthorized entry to the site.
- Assist in fire evacuation and other emergency drills.
- Carry out S.O.P. for same.
- Prevent unauthorized removal of company property.
- Carry out searches as requested/required.
- Maintain concise, accurate reports and forward same to relevant authorities.
- Maintain all logs in a factual manner.
- Provide surveillance via in house cameras and patrols.
- Take over phone duties outside normal office hours.
- Carry out weekly maintenance on the fire sprinkler system and fire alarm.
- Accompany Supervisors/Team Leaders to stores as requested.
- Carry out daily and nightly patrols of the site.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working in a security position
- College qualification in security studies would be an advantage
- First aid qualification would be desirable
- Knowledge of fire extinguishers and their application.
