Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Shift in Prince George, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Part‑Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Sunday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related policies at a technology‑focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas while documenting security‑related events, reporting concerns, and assisting with badge or visitor verification processes as directed.
- Support emergency response activities, de‑escalation efforts, and other assigned duties that help maintain orderly operations across the location.
Minimum Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Criminal history considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
