Job Summary
Position Summary
The Security Operations Associate supports HyperPay's day-to-day cybersecurity operations by monitoring security events, assisting in incident response, maintaining security technologies, and supporting compliance activities. The role works closely with the Information Security and IT teams to help maintain a secure operating environment and ensure timely handling of security events.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and security monitoring platforms.
- Perform initial triage of security incidents and escalate when necessary.
- Support endpoint security, email security, iNDR, and identity & access management activities, and other security tools.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and track remediation activities with system owners.
- Coordinate application security testing activities, including SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and Penetration Testing, with internal development teams and external security vendors. Track remediation progress, validate findings, and ensure timely closure of identified security vulnerabilities.
- Assist in administering MFA, SSO, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- Monitor security dashboards and perform routine health checks for security tools.
- Support log analysis, threat detection, and basic threat hunting activities.
- Maintain documentation, security procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance activities related to PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and SAMA Cybersecurity Framework.
- Support security awareness campaigns and phishing simulations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and hardening recommendations.
- Participate in security projects and operational improvements as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Corporate IT Security, or Information Security role.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, firewalls, vulnerability management, and identity management solutions.
- Understanding of security concepts including incident response, vulnerability management, and access management.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (Azure, AWS, or OCI) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks is preferred.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced fintech environment.
