Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of security services across client portfolios ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. The role provides leadership to supervisors and officers while fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily security operations across assigned contracts and locations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and performance-manage operational personnel.
- Develop rosters and workforce plans to ensure adequate coverage and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary liaising and escalation point for operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare operational reports, budgets, and key performance metrics for senior management.
- Support business development activities, including tenders, mobilizations, and contract renewals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in Security operations management, preferably within the government management sectors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Great knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements and security industry regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce management systems.
- Australian Citizenship is essential. An NV1 Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is highly desirable.
- The Ability to work under a pressurized environment
- Diploma (And or higher) of Leadership and management
