Role Description
Watchmen Solutions is hiring part-time Security Athlete® team members for field assignments in the Charlotte Metro area.
This role is a strong fit for someone who wants meaningful part-time work, has another career or schedule to balance, or is looking for professional extra income without stepping into a dead-end security job.
The role starts part-time, but reliable team members may have opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on client needs, availability, and performance.
Security Athletes are trusted to serve as a professional presence for the properties and clients we protect. Depending on the assignment, this may include walking patrols, vehicle patrols, access control, incident response, fire watch, hotel coverage, apartment community coverage, construction site coverage, and other client-specific assignments.
This is a field role that requires visibility, communication, professionalism, and follow-through. Our clients need more than someone physically present. They need someone who can observe what is happening, respond appropriately, communicate clearly, and document the details that matter.
What You’ll Do
* Provide a visible, professional security presence at assigned client locations
* Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of properties, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, amenities, and other designated areas
* Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, maintenance issues, policy violations, and unusual conditions
* Interact professionally with residents, guests, employees, vendors, property staff, law enforcement, and the public
* Use calm communication and de-escalation when issues arise
* Respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances, trespassing concerns, noise complaints, and other property-related incidents
* Follow client post orders and Watchmen Solutions procedures
* Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
* Communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatch, and property representatives
* Maintain a professional appearance and steady presence throughout the shift

Prior security experience is helpful, but it is not required for the right person.
Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as hospitality, military service, customer service, athletics, coaching, property management, logistics, operations, public safety, or other people-facing roles where reliability and judgment matter.
Schedule & Hours
This is a part-time role by design.
Watchmen Solutions builds its field roster with reliable part-time professionals who want meaningful work, flexible opportunities, and the ability to earn additional income while representing a higher standard of private security.
Most assignments are scheduled during 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekends, and some holidays. Candidates should be comfortable with evening, overnight, and weekend availability.
Additional shifts may be available for dependable team members based on client needs, performance, availability, and operational demand. Team members who prove reliable and professional may have the opportunity to pick up extra shifts, support special assignments, and increase their hours when coverage needs arise.
Part-time does not mean casual. We depend on our team to show up, communicate clearly, and follow through.

Requirements
* Must be available for part-time work
* Must be willing to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekends, and some holidays as needed
* Must be dependable and punctual
* Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
* Must be able to complete accurate written reports
* Must communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and the public
* Must pass required background screening
* Must have or be eligible to obtain required North Carolina security registration/licensing
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
* Professional appearance and conduct required
Who This Role Is Not For
This is not a “sit in the car and hope nobody notices” kind of security job.
It is also not a fit for anyone looking to cosplay law enforcement, avoid people, or treat reports like optional homework.
We are looking for steady professionals who can show up on time, walk the property, communicate respectfully, document what matters, and represent the client well.
