Job Responsibilities:
- Access Control Management: Design, implement, and manage access control systems for data center facilities, including card readers, biometric systems, mantraps, and visitor management platforms. Define and enforce access levels, authorization workflows, and credential issuance/revocation procedures. Conduct periodic access rights reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Security Screening: Conduct security screening of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering data center facilities. Oversee bag checks, metal detection, and other screening procedures to prevent the introduction of unauthorized items or contraband. Ensure screening protocols comply with site-specific access control requirements.
- Surveillance and Monitoring: Operate and monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and motion sensors, to detect security breaches and anomalies. Conduct regular surveillance rounds and ensure 24/7 monitoring coverage of all critical areas within data center facilities.
- Physical Security: Ensure the physical security of data center infrastructure, equipment, and assets. Conduct regular inspections and audits of physical security controls, such as locks, barriers, fencing, and anti-tailgating measures. Implement corrective actions to protect against theft, vandalism, sabotage, and unauthorized access.
- Security Design Review: Review and provide security input on facility design, architectural drawings, and structural drawings during project planning and construction phases. Ensure security requirements — including CCTV coverage, access control zoning, barrier placement, lighting, and secure room layouts — are incorporated into the design from concept through commissioning.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses in data center operations. Develop and implement mitigation strategies, controls, and countermeasures to enhance overall security posture.
- Security Policy Development: Develop, review, and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to data center operations. Ensure alignment with Thai security legislation, industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001 physical controls), and client requirements.
- Security Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. Lead investigations into security breaches, unauthorized access attempts, and suspicious activities. Implement appropriate containment and recovery protocols to mitigate risks and minimize operational impact.
- Incident Reporting and Documentation: Document all security incidents, breaches, and near misses. Prepare detailed incident reports including timelines, root causes, actions taken, and corrective/preventive measures. Maintain an accurate incident register and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into procedures.
- KPI and Reporting: Report on physical security strategy, performance metrics, and KPIs to management on a regular basis.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations teams, IT staff, and management, to address security concerns and operational requirements. Coordinate with external security agencies, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years' experience in security-related audits or physical security management, preferably in data centers or critical infrastructure
- Minimum 2 years' experience in contract management and vendor oversight
- Understanding of Thai security and occupational safety legislation
- Ability to read and review architectural drawings and structural drawings for security design input
- Proficiency in security systems — access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and systematic thinking skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Military, police, or information technology background is an added advantage
- Professional certification (e.g., CPP, PSP) is an added advantage
