We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on expertise in managing and maintaining a complex enterprise IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Exchange Server, data center operations, and virtualization technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Exchange Server Management:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises Microsoft Exchange environments.
- Perform health checks, monitor performance, and manage resources (CPU, Memory, Disk) to ensure optimal operation.
- Handle mailbox migrations, public folders, and transport rules.
- Plan and execute Exchange Server updates and patches, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Virtualization and Data Center:
- Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, with a strong preference for VMware vSphere / ESXi and/or Hyper-V.
- Participate in and lead data center migration projects, including planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor virtualized resource utilization and performance.
- Core Infrastructure:
- Administer Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and Group Policy (GPOs) for user and computer management, security, and configuration control.
- Manage file and print services, DNS, DHCP, and other core network services.
- Implement and manage system monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Lead or contribute to IT implementation and operational projects (e.g., new system deployments, office setups, technology migrations).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide escalated technical support.
- Document systems, procedures, and project plans.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in a System Administration role.
- Proven, hands-on experience with on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server administration (management, migration, troubleshooting).
- Solid experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere/ESXi is highly desired; Hyper-V is also relevant).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Direct involvement in data center migration projects.
- Experience with patch management and ensuring update compliance without system disruption.
- Experience in monitoring system performance and resources.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in Arabic .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VMware VCP, or CCNA are advantageous.
- Experience with IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
