Title: Senior IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager

Purpose: To Provides leadership in designing, delivering, and managing all enterprise technology infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and end-user computing systems throughout the construction business. Acts as the senior infrastructure strategist, making sure corporate offices, and project sites run on a secure, resilient, and scalable technology framework. Promotes advanced infrastructure models—such as hybrid cloud, software-defined networking, edge computing for site operations, and IoT/OT integration—while upholding strict standards for cybersecurity, business continuity, and asset lifecycle management. Ensures field teams, project managers, and executives have reliable, high-performance access to essential systems no matter where they are located.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Infrastructure Planning
- Develop and execute the enterprise infrastructure roadmap aligned with corporate growth, project portfolio expansion, and digital transformation priorities
- Establish infrastructure architecture standards covering cloud, on-premises data centers, network topology, and edge computing for construction sites
- Lead capacity planning and scalability initiatives to support seasonal project ramps, M&A integrations, and international expansion
- Evaluate and adopt emerging infrastructure technologies: 5G for site connectivity, SD-WAN, hyper-converged infrastructure, and containerized workloads
Cloud and Platform Operations
- Own the enterprise cloud strategy (multi-cloud and hybrid) including governance, cost optimization, security posture, and workload placement
- Oversee cloud operations teams responsible for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS management across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
- Implement FinOps practices to monitor, allocate, and optimize cloud spending across business units and projects
- Ensure cloud-based disaster recovery and backup solutions meet project-critical recovery point and recovery time objectives (RPO/RTO)
Network and Field Connectivity
- Design and manage the enterprise wide-area network (WAN), local-area networks (LAN), and site-specific temporary networks
- Ensure reliable, secure connectivity for remote project sites, including satellite, cellular, and fixed-wireless solutions in undeveloped or rural locations
- Oversee IoT/OT network segmentation and security for connected equipment, smart sensors, and site surveillance systems
- Manage relationships with telecommunications carriers and internet service providers to guarantee SLA compliance
Cybersecurity Operations and Resilience
- Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) function, including 24/7 threat monitoring, incident detection, and response coordination
- Implement and maintain endpoint detection and response (EDR), network detection and response (NDR), and zero-trust architecture principles
- Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and red-team exercises focused on construction-specific attack vectors
- Oversee identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) enforcement
Asset Lifecycle and Procurement
- Establish standards for end-user devices, ruggedized tablets, and mobile equipment used in field environments
- Manage the full IT asset lifecycle: procurement, imaging, deployment, maintenance, refresh cycles, and secure disposal
- Enforce hardware standardization to reduce support complexity and improve procurement leverage
- Ensure compliance with environmental and data destruction regulations for retired assets
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for all critical infrastructure and project systems
- Conduct semi-annual DR drills and tabletop exercises simulating site outages, ransomware attacks, and data center failures
- Maintain geographically redundant systems and backup strategies to protect project data, financial records, and BIM models
- Define RPO/RTO targets in collaboration with enterprise solutions and project delivery leaders
