The Senior Network Engineer’s role is to design, implement, manage, and optimize our network infrastructure. This is a highly hands-on role, requiring both strategic thinking and deep technical expertise in networking, security, and cloud-based technologies.
Ensuring high availability, performance, monitoring and security of our network environment while leading projects, mentoring role with team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery
- Design, deploy, and maintain architecture LANs, WANs including wireless networks, switches, UPSs, all network tools and appliances related
- Design, implement, and support firewalls, site-to-site IPSECs, VPNs, and security best practices to protect enterprise assets
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Ensure network connectivity of all services: workstations, VOIP technology, and all other network appliances across all sites. Manage network integrations with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure…
- Manage projects, and coordinate with suppliers
- Provide the on-call support for urgent network outside of business hours
Qualifications
- 10 years’ minimum of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
- CCNA certification (CCNP preferred)
- Strong technical skills in Cisco/HP networking technologies, Microsoft Azure, routing, switching and wireless networking
- Hands-on experience with network security solution (Firewalls “Fortinet”, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Audio/Video experiences with network integration
- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
- Excellent fluency in English and French
