Senior Security Engineer – Carbon Black Application Control (Contract)
We’re seeking an experienced Security Engineer with strong Carbon Black Application Control expertise to join a high-performing cyber security team supporting a large-scale enterprise environment.
This is a contract opportunity running through to June 2027, with strong extension potential. We’re looking for someone who can start quickly and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain on-premises Carbon Black Application Control consoles supporting approximately 7,000 Windows endpoints across desktop and server environments
- Configure, implement, and maintain Application Control policies
- Tune policies, alerts, and detections to minimise false positives and improve end-user experience
- Manage platform upgrades, versioning, and overall platform health
- Support incident investigations, threat hunting, and response activities across the environment
- Collaborate with cyber security and infrastructure teams to ensure operational effectiveness and security alignment
Required Experience
- Proven hands-on experience administering Carbon Black Application Control in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of Windows endpoint security across desktop and server platforms
- Experience tuning security controls and detections in large-scale environments
- Knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, and cyber security operations
- Experience managing upgrades, maintenance, and operational support for security platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
