We are partnering with a growing organization to hire a Cybersecurity Analyst who will take ownership of day-to-day security operations with a strong focus on the Microsoft security stack.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can step in immediately, investigate threats, and operate within Defender, Sentinel, and Purview with minimal ramp-up.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and investigate security alerts across Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
- Write and execute KQL queries to analyze logs and identify threats
- Respond to phishing incidents, including email investigation and remediation
- Support eDiscovery requests and security-related legal inquiries
- Design and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
- Implement security controls and guardrails around AI tools (Copilot)
- Partner with internal teams and SOC resources on threat response and investigations
- Support vulnerability management, penetration testing, and remediation tracking
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and security best practices
- Lead or support security awareness initiatives (phishing campaigns, training, etc.)
- Document processes and communicate effectively with technical teams and leadership
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or security monitoring
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)
- Microsoft Purview
- Ability to write and use KQL queries in a real-world environment
- Experience with DLP policy implementation and data protection
- Experience with eDiscovery and supporting investigations
- Proven ability to investigate and respond to security incidents
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
