Role Description

The Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer is an on-site role available across multiple locations, with swing and overnight shifts available. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling assigned properties, monitoring premises, controlling access points, observing activity, and reporting incidents as needed.

The Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer will conduct routine patrols, respond to security concerns, document unusual activity, and communicate professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and team members. This role requires dependability, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while following company procedures and post orders. Candidates must possess a valid California Guard Card and Power to Arrest Certificate.

Qualifications

  • Valid California Guard Card required.
  • Power to Arrest Certificate required.
  • Ability to patrol assigned properties and monitor premises for safety and security concerns.
  • Experience controlling access points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors or personnel as needed.
  • Strong observation skills and ability to identify, document, and report incidents accurately.
  • Ability to complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional during routine operations and security-related situations.
  • Availability to work part-time schedules, including swing and overnight shifts.
  • Previous security experience preferred but not required.
