Summary

The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4-6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Under supervision of the Fleet Manager, the incumbent operates motor vehicles to transport both passengers and cargo of the U.S. Consulate and its affiliated agencies. The incumbent also provides administrative support for various vehicle data, as well as a dispatcher/supervisor back up.

Qualifications and Evaluations

EXPERIENCE: Minimum two (2) years of administrative/clerical work experience and two (2) years of prior chauffeur experience are required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of traffic rules and safety procedures.

Education Requirements

  • Completion of high school is required.

Evaluations

LANGUAGE: English (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking and Turkish (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking are required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES (This may be tested): Must have valid driver’s license and should have basic knowledge of automotive mechanical systems. Ability to operate various types of vehicle. Skill in the operation or standard and automatic transmission automobiles. Knowledge of general clerical/administrative office procedures, records maintenance and reporting, and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Agency Benefits

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul, Turkey may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
