About the Role

The Vice President of Security Services is responsible for leading NetCov’s Security Services delivery organization, including our 24×7 Managed Security Operations Center (SOC), Security Engineering, and Security Services. This role is responsible for unifying people, processes, and technologies from multiple security teams within NetCov into a single cohesive Security organization. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), the VP partners closely with other C-Level executives, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Services organization to ensure we deliver exceptional security services to our clients and transform the unified organization into a high-performing and efficient Security organization 

The VP will drive strategic and operational excellence across security capabilities while ensuring high availability, rapid incident response, and proactive risk reduction. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both deep technical expertise and strong business acumen to align security outcomes with organizational risk tolerance and business objectives.

The VP will lead a team of service delivery leaders and is responsible for establishing the systems, processes, leadership disciplines, and cultural expectations required to deliver boutique-quality service at enterprise scale. This role exists to build a security delivery organization that knows its clients intimately, moves with urgency, communicates clearly, delegates appropriately, and develops leaders rather than fights fires.

Accountabilities

Security Service Delivery Ownership

  • Lead and evolve a 24×7 SOC operation, ensuring continuous monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities. 
  • Oversee Security Engineering teams responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security tools, platforms, automation, and architectures. 
  • Own the enterprise Vulnerability Management and Patching program, including discovery, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting across all environments.
  • Develop and maintain security service offerings, including threat hunting, security consulting, compliance support, and proactive risk reduction services. 
  • Establish and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures while driving continuous improvement through metrics, automation, and lessons learned. 
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology stack for SOC, SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and orchestration tools. 
  • Ensure effective threat hunting and incident response, serving as an escalation point for major security incidents. 
  • Collaborate with internal NetCov teams to integrate, operationalize security into NetCov clients. 
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, reporting, and communication to senior leadership and the Board on security posture and risks.

Success Profile

Success in this role will be measured by the delivery organization’s ability to consistently meet client expectations, unify the teams and processes inherited from acquisition, and run with the discipline and predictability the business now requires.

Key indicators of success include:

  • Proven track record leading 24×7 SOC operations in complex, multi-environment organizations (enterprise, cloud-native, or hybrid). 
  • Deep expertise in vulnerability management, patching orchestration, and risk-based remediation programs. 
  • Strong technical background in security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, threat intelligence platforms, etc.). 
  • Experience with major compliance frameworks (NIST,CMMC, SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) and regulatory environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and complex technology portfolios. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non-technical audiences. 
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CCSP, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Improved SLA performance and measurable reduction in repeat or systemic service issues
  • Stronger client satisfaction scores, with specific improvement in accounts that have voiced concern during the growth period
