Vice President, Information Security – Remote | Full-Time | Executive Leadership
Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology and communications organization, is seeking a Vice President of Information Security to lead and mature the company's enterprise security program.
The Vice President of Information Security role is an opportunity to join a growing organization that has expanded through multiple acquisitions and is investing heavily in strengthening its cybersecurity posture. As the Vice President of Information Security, you'll partner closely with executive leadership to establish security strategy, improve operational maturity, guide security initiatives across multiple business units, and present directly to executive leadership and the Board.
We're looking for a technical security leader with an engineering mindset – someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable security programs, and balancing security with business objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the enterprise Information Security program and overall security strategy
- Build and mature security operations, governance, and incident response capabilities
- Develop security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and IT teams to implement effective security controls
- Assess security posture across newly acquired companies and support integration efforts
- Drive continuous improvements in security maturity while enabling business growth
- Present security initiatives, risk posture, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
- Lead and mentor a growing Information Security team
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Security, Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Networking, or Security Engineering
- Leadership experience managing technical teams and driving enterprise security initiatives
- Strong background in Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure Security, and Risk Management
- Experience building or maturing enterprise security programs
- Hands-on technical foundation with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams
- Executive presence with experience presenting to senior leadership or Boards
- Experience in SaaS, telecommunications, cloud, managed services, or other technology-focused environments preferred
- Experience integrating acquisitions or multiple business units is a plus
Preferred Technical Experience
- Microsoft Security ecosystem (Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server)
- Enterprise infrastructure and network security
- Security frameworks and compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Identity and Access Management
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Architecture
