Job Description
- Lead the NYC site’s emergency procedures during safety/security incidents (e.g., coordinating immediate response steps, escalation, building security/first responders, and internal notifications per established protocols).
- Manage and monitor electronic access control and video surveillance systems; coordinate troubleshooting and vendor support as needed.
- Run ID badging operations, including badge issuance, replacements, temporary badges, badge inventory controls, and access provisioning/deprovisioning support for onboarding/offboarding.
- Support front desk operations as part of the company’s broader physical security posture (in partnership with Workplace and front desk staff).
- Support mail room / receiving operations, including secure handling, routing, and storage of deliveries and sensitive shipments.
- Ensure visitor and vendor access aligns with established security and safety protocols (check-in, badging, approvals, escorts as needed, and restricted-area controls).
- Partner with Facilities, Security Operations, Events, and People teams to promote workplace safety, emergency readiness, and compliance with company standards and local requirements.
- Support corporate events, physical security audits, onboarding/offboarding processes, and emergency response training/drills.
- Maintain incident logs and assist in investigations or follow-ups as needed; ensure thorough documentation and timely handoffs.
- Provide hospitality-minded service to employees and guests while prioritizing safety, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Requirements:2+ years of experience in physical security, safety, facilities, workplace operations, or related operational roles.
- Experience supporting emergency preparedness and serving in an on-site incident response role (e.g., drill coordination, executing site procedures, incident documentation).
- Familiarity with access control and video monitoring platforms (e.g., LenelS2, Genetec, Kisi, HID, Rhombus).
- Experience with ID badging processes (issuance, inventory control, temporary badges) and access provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
- Strong communication, customer service, and situational awareness skills; able to stay calm and effective during incidents.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information and act with discretion.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment and coordinating across multiple teams/vendors.
