Purpose of Job:
- The Assistant Chief Security is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property within the waterpark.
- Oversee and develop security policies, coordinate emergency responses, manage security personnel, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to provide a secure and enjoyable environment for all guests and employees.
- Ensure the safety and security of everyone within the waterpark premises.
Direct responsibilities:
- Carry out daily duties in determining policies related to security operations, public order, and emergency prevention, as well as ensuring proper execution of security functions.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Implement and supervise the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise the performance and execution of duties carried out by all Security Team Members.
- Conduct coaching, training, and disciplinary development for all Security Team Members under their supervision.
- Plan and organize safety and security activities regularly as part of human resource development to create a safe, comfortable, peaceful, and dynamic environment.
- Organize and oversee all Security Department operations through the respective Security Supervisors / Assistant Supervisors.
- Provide periodic reports (weekly and monthly) to management regarding safety and security operations, personnel development, supervision, and overall control of Security Team Members.
- Monitor the implementation of all security activities and operations in general.
- Conduct performance evaluations for each Security Supervisor and all Security Team Members under their supervision.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to management to further develop the safety and security system in alignment with the Company’s Vision and Mission.
- Delegate duties and authority to the Security Supervisors in the execution of daily and special assignments.
- Organize coordinated reporting activities and data preparation as a communication bridge for information and instructions from Management to all Security Team Members.
- Coordinate together with the Security Manager with local authorities, community leaders, and other related parties to maintain and improve external relationships.
- Take initial action in resolving operational issues occurring in the field and report to the General Manager on matters that require further direction or escalation.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations established within the park to achieve the highest level of operational consistency and guest service excellence.
Relations
- Conduct periodic reports, both verbally and in writing, to the Head of Department regarding all aspects of safety and security, including other related responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments.
- Perform special duties as assigned by the Manager / Management.
General
- Provide accurate information regarding all facilities available within the Park.
- Cooperate and maintain good relationships with fellow employees and superiors.
- Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the overall objectives mentioned above.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a safety and security role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Possess relevant security certifications (Gada Utama)
- Experience in risk management, crisis management, and emergency response.
- Proven ability to develop and implement safety and security plans and procedures.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Good understanding of local laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in safety and security systems and technologies
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and report preparation.
