As an Head of Infrastructure and Security, you are responsible for leading cybersecurity, network, on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure the availability, security, resilience and compliance of core corporate technology services across McDonald’s Hong Kong office and more than 260 restaurants.
The role reports directly to the Head of Technology and partners with business stakeholders, McDonald’s Global Technology and Cybersecurity teams, and external service providers to deliver secure, scalable, and standardized solutions that support business growth and transformation.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Governance
- Lead a small team covering cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and office helpdesk support within the Technology department to deliver stable and secure technology services.
- Partner with business stakeholders, Global Technology, and external service providers to define and deliver secure, scalable, and standardized technology architecture and policies that support business needs and ensure compliance with Global Cybersecurity policies and standards.
Security
- Manage SOC services, security monitoring, incident response support, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity maturity improvement.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, procedures, and business contingency and DR plans to reduce business and IT risk.
- Drive continuous improvement of security controls across enterprise and restaurant infrastructure, applications, and network architecture.
- Coordinate IT audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation follow-up.
Infrastructure
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including hybrid cloud operations, network transformation, and business continuity planning for offices and data centres.
- Co-manage NOC services with Restaurant Support Team to monitor network performance and support troubleshooting across restaurants.
- Manage budgets for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support services, ensuring cost control and service effectiveness.
- Manage vendors and outsourced partners to ensure service quality, SLA compliance, and contractual performance.
- Oversee end-user support for office-based users, including troubleshooting of desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, account, and application issues.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network operations, cybersecurity and cloud technology.
- At least 3 to 5 years of leadership experience managing an IT function or equivalent senior leadership role with responsibility for people, budgets, and service delivery.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise office users and managing helpdesk or service desk operations.
- Proven experience in multi-site enterprise environments, preferably retail, hospitality, or other distributed business operations.
- Solid knowledge of security operations, infrastructure transformation, hybrid cloud environments, and business continuity planning.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder management, and budget control experience.
Key Competencies :
- Agility in supporting business needs across both office and restaurant operations.
- Good judgment in balancing business priorities with technical risk, feasibility, and standards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
- Professional certifications in cybersecurity, cloud, or service management, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or ITIL, are an advantage.
