Our client, a well-established organization in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead its technology function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the IT strategy, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the organization’s technology infrastructure supports business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall IT strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Lead and develop the IT team across infrastructure, applications, security, and support functions
- Oversee enterprise systems, ERP platforms, cloud infrastructure, and network operations
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in line with the organization’s growth agenda
- Establish and maintain IT governance, policies, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory and cybersecurity requirements (NCA, SAMA/CITC where applicable)
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology procurement
- Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and data protection standards are in place
- Partner with senior leadership and department heads to identify technology-driven improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus)
- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record leading IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation programs
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP), cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and IT governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001)
- Familiarity with Saudi regulatory and data protection landscape (e.g., NCA ECC, PDPL) is a strong advantage
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Saudi or GCC experience strongly preferred; Arabic proficiency is a plus
- Relevant certifications (PMP, CISSP, ITIL, TOGAF) are an advantage
