Key Responsibilities
Situational Monitoring: Monitor enterprise Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to maintain continuous situational awareness.
Incident Response & Dispatch: Triage real-time alarm activations using established risk frameworks; initiate immediate internal and external notifications, including direct coordination with law enforcement, emergency services, and security leadership.
- System Verification: Validate that physical security controls are operating as designed, proactively identifying system degradation, gaps, or technical troubleshooting needs.
- Evidence & Documentation: Maintain complete, time-stamped shift logs and preserve digital evidence in strict accordance with chain-of-custody requirements.
- Risk Intelligence & Reporting: Identify recurring physical security vulnerabilities, provide trend analysis, and generate defensible compliance reports for audits and the enterprise risk register.
- Compliance Support: Assist with ISO internal audits, regulatory documentation reviews, and corrective action tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a physical security operations center (PSOC/GSOC), corporate security environment, law enforcement dispatch, or a similar high-pressure command center.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience utilizing enterprise physical security platforms (e.g., Genetec, Lenel) and incident management software.
- Clearance/Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain job-related system clearances, such as the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for physical security (e.g., ASIS, APTA, ANSI, ISC).
- Availability: Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Communication & Professionalism: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for senior leadership and remain calm under pressure during emergency situations.
- Education & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
