Company Overview
Key Jordan, a leading HR consultancy and outsourcing company, is currently supporting one of its clients, a leading company operating in the retail sector, in the recruitment of an experienced and proactive Security Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the security function and developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to safeguard the company's people, assets, facilities, and operations. The role will oversee physical security, loss prevention, risk management, emergency preparedness, and compliance while leading security teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external authorities to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures for the client organization.
- Manage physical security operations across retail stores, warehouses, and head office locations.
- Supervise Security Supervisors and security guards to ensure compliance with established security standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive security measures.
- Investigate theft, fraud, security breaches, and workplace security incidents.
- Coordinate CCTV monitoring, access control systems, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and inventory losses.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and external security providers when required.
- Prepare security incident reports, KPIs, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain emergency response, evacuation, and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular security audits, inspections, and vulnerability assessments.
- Train employees on security awareness, emergency procedures, and loss prevention practices.
- Manage the security department's budget, equipment, and vendor contracts.
- Lead investigations into internal theft, misconduct, and operational security issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent are preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in security management.
- Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience within the retail sector.
- Mandatory previous experience in the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of retail security operations and loss prevention.
- Experience managing CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident investigation, crisis management, and emergency response planning.
- Experience in inventory protection, shrinkage control, and security compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and security management software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Jordanian nationality.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
