A leading technology design and consulting firm specializing in low-voltage systems, including ICT and physical security, is seeking a Mission Critical Security Project Manager to support mission-critical projects. The Role
The Mission Critical Security Project Manager will lead multiple fast-paced projects, taking full ownership of the project lifecycle, from kickoff through design, coordination, construction support, and closeout. This individual will drive scope, schedule, and quality across security design deliverables, ensuring successful execution in highly complex, data center-focused environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage projects from initial handoff through final closeout
- Lead design coordination, QA/QC, and construction administration phases
- Facilitate client meetings and maintain alignment on evolving design requirements
- Conduct site surveys and validate existing conditions and installations
- Produce and review high-quality design documentation (drawings, specifications)
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across A/E/C environments
- Prepare assessment reports with actionable recommendations
- Identify scope changes and manage additional service requests
- Support construction activities including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and testing
- Perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
What They’re Looking For
- 5–7+ years of experience in physical security / low-voltage design within A/E/C environments
- Strong expertise in systems such as access control, video surveillance (VSS/CCTV), intrusion detection, and perimeter security (gates, fencing, lighting)
- Proven experience working on mission-critical/data center environments
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end (scope, schedule, client engagement, QA/QC)
- Experience collaborating across disciplines (electrical, architectural, infrastructure)
- Familiarity with tools such as Bluebeam, Revit/BIM, and project management platforms
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or PSP certification strongly preferred
- Knowledge of industry standards (NEC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA)
- Experience with secure/regulated environments (e.g., ICD-705)
- Degree in engineering or a related field
